Well, as usual, another release has come and gone, and once again, I’ve been reminded to stay on brand. It just so happened that I got sick immediately following the release of I LOVE TO HATE YOU, and got to watch the enthusiasm for it from my couch as I coughed up both lungs 🫁 and at least one of my kidneys. Unfortunately, the hype for I LOVE TO HATE YOU wasn’t what I’d hoped for, but with all the time I had to think while sick, I can honestly say I understand.

My biggest books to date are Kingdom, The Therapist, and Kingpin, followed by Interview with a Sadist. Needless to say, 3 out of the 4 are kinky and a bit dark. Kingpin came out in 2016, so it isn’t a fair comparison, but it’s pretty dark, too, although not kinky. The point is I’ve developed a brand, and my fans love that brand. While I adored writing I LOVE TO HATE YOU, and I do think it’s a fantastic book that deserves to be read and enjoyed, I understand that it’s not on brand.

Dark & kinky is what I do best. It’s a big part of what I live, which is why I’m so good at writing it and it comes easily for me. I know that Kingdom put me on the map for most of my fans, and going away from that sorta leaves those fans waiting for the thing that brought them to me. I get it. I hope everyone takes a chance on I LOVE TO HATE YOU and give it a chance because I love and believe in everything I write. It’s a fantastic story and worthy of every page turn. But I get it. So here’s what I’m gonna do.

Every book can’t be Kingdom. I love Nas & Alina more than anybody, and while I will put little short stories out for them on Patreon, I can’t have every book be like theirs.

However, WS Greer romance is romance for the dark & kinky. That, I can do every book. I want my fans to know what they’re getting when they see a book coming from me. The stories will vary, but they will be dark and/or kinky. They’ll be me at my best. My agent won’t love this, but I have to do what’s best for me and my fans. So, while I’m not ready to announce it just yet (except on Patreon 😊), my next book will epitomize my logo. What’s coming is going to remind everyone why they chose me in the first place. Next book, we’re setting the world on fire 🔥
