Happy New Year

I can honestly say that 2024 was the best year of my life! In the fall of 2023, I wasn’t sure what 2024 would look like. All I knew was that my military career was ending and my life was about to drastically change, and I wasn’t sure if it would be better or worse. On March 8th, I wore my Air Force uniform for the final time, and everything took off! Concerts, book signings, football games, book sales like I had never seen before, and a spike in popularity that I never saw coming. I did it. I retired from the military and started living my dream as a 100% full-time author!

2025 will be the first year I’ve had without being active duty Air Force since 2003. That’s insane, and it means that I have to go bigger than ever and start cementing a legacy in my new full-time career. It also means that I have to take the things that I learned in 2024 and build upon them.

If there’s one thing I have seen that works better than anything else I write, it’s dark romance. So if I can give a guarantee in a world that is usually uncertain, it’s that everything I drop this year will be dark, and I am taking on a new challenge/lane that I feel was meant for me.

I’ve only done it once before. I wrote a book called Madman in the POV of the MMC who was a psychopath. His name was Solomon King, and I still love him to this day. He has actually been mentioned in 2 books since Madman came out. When I published my 1st villain in 2018, it just wasn’t his time yet. Now it’s 2025 and dark romance has taken over. It’s the perfect time for another villain from my dark & kinky mind to emerge.

This isn’t the newsletter where I announce anything, but I do know the title of my next book, and all of the tropes. All you need to know, gentle reader, is that it will be dark romance led by a villainous man whose only soft spot is his woman.

As much as 2024 changed my life, this year is going to do it even more. There’s so much more that I want out of my writing career, and I’m going to have to stay very active to get it. I will write more this year than I ever have, and I am full of confidence as it all gets started. Of course, there are plenty of book signings scheduled where I will talk to fans and get to know more people, including one right here in Delaware next month! But 2025 is all about the writing. It’s about taking that next step and clutching my destiny in my hands. I’m so ready. I hope you are too.
