If you’re a fan of mine but somehow missed the announcement, The Darkest Kink is getting a Book #2!! I came up with an idea for How May I Please You shortly after I published Book #1, but I wasn’t able to start work on it due to other obligations. Once all of that wrapped up, I was free to write for myself again, but I’d had another idea pop into my head about obsession. I began work on this book, and for whatever reason, I just couldn’t get into it. It was like Evan and Journey would not let me forget that I’d had plans for them that needed to be finished. Now, we have ourselves a Book #2!
This story is layered. It’s similar to its predecessor in the ways of it being dark and twisted, but How May I Please You takes us further with the character that I thought really stole the show with Book #1—Journey. Take what you want from the synopsis and the way it’s written, but this story will give more of Journey and her mindset. She’s unlike any other character I’ve written and even more challenging to me as a writer. Her thoughts are convoluted, and her decision-making is questionable, to say the least, but she is the heart of the now 2-book series. She makes everything go, and your jaw will drop when you read what she gets into next.
It has been four years since I last published a series. It took a phenomenal story and an insane set of characters to get me here, but I’m glad to be all in on a second book. I’m currently still writing, driving myself insane with the fear that Book 2 won’t love up to Book 1. I know how big of an impact The Darkest Kink had on my career. I’m a full-time author because of that book, and I know how much people love it. I’m giving Book 2 everything I can to make sure it’s just as awesome but also different. While it is a continuation of The Darkest Kink, it still is its own story. Journey and Evan are mid-relationship, so we don’t see courtship this time around. Now, get to see just how far dark and twisted love is willing to go to preserve itself. June 1st, the world will know. Don’t forget your safe word 🖤
